Le thieboudienne est le plat typique du Sénégal. Constitué de riz, (thieb) avec sa sauce tomate, son poisson, appelé dienne en wolof (thiof appelé mérou en français, ou le barracuda) et ses légumes (carottes, choux et manioc).
